Cornwall might not be the best place on earth but it sure is quiet and relaxing. We stayed in a little town just outside St Ives called 'Carbis Bay', it is very peaceful with a small beach and a great fish&chip shop called 'Becks', it is great.
This year we stayed in a bungalow called 'Trelowen', it was a lovely self catering bungalow with a view of the sea, it was stunning. On our trip, we visited Lands End, The Eden Project, Truro and many other places.

One of many highlights of my trip was the Eden Project which is located just outside Bodmin in Cornwall. It is a a large dome to showcase all of the worlds beautiful and exotic plants. The Eden Project build all started back in 1995, In 2001 Eden opened it's doors to the public and it all started from there. A place for people to enjoy all the worlds beautiful flowers. It is beautiful to walk around and going into the Biomes and feel like your in an actual rainforest, you forget your surrounded by glass. The heat inside the Biomes is crazy, 30 degrees! There is so air conditioning except for a cool room half way into it and a cloud bridge at the top of it, which sprays out cold water and transforms into a cloud. There is also an outstanding waterfall at the top of the rainforest which you can stand right at the middle off on a bridge with the waterfall running underneath you, the slight spray of water coming from it helps a lot with the heat! They even grow their own banana's inside the biome, you can buy them and I'm sure they are delicious..but I don't like bananas so.. I think the Eden project is a great place and I think it would be exceptional for school trips as it's very educational. I highly recommend The Eden project as a place to visit.

Another highlight of my trip was Lands End, I love this place! The little gift shops and doughnut cart. What more could you ask for? The doughnuts are exceptional, freshly cooked hot and sugary, delicious! You can get your picture taken in front of the lands end sign and get your town and how far away you are from home on the sign. It has a Shaun the sheep experience and King Arthur quest, to make it perfect for families with young children. On a nice day it is beautiful, you can walk down to the last house and sit outside while eating a traditional Cornish pasty with the annoying seagulls trying to steal your food. You can always go old school and buy a postcard and send it to a friend anywhere in the world or you can use the telephone box to make any calls, local or international. It's a great place to visit when in Cornwall.

Another good but slightly more boring day, was at The Minack Theater which is a theater built into the side of a cliff. It has an outstanding view of the blue sea. I'm not big on heights and it was very breezy up there which wasn't helping my hay-fever. There is a little cafe overlooking the sea where you can have a coffee and a bun while watching people swim and sail away on their boats. We got to a little bit of a show as they were doing a dress rehearsal, everybody sat round watching them as they pranced around the cliff edge without a care in the world. I think it would be a lot better in the evening watching an actual show and also sometimes Dolphins make an appearence!

Another exceptional place i visited was 'Sixteen Fifty Two', a little coffee/doughnut shop in Truro, Cornwall. I loved this little cafe! As you can see from the picture above they have a random act of kindness thing going on, which is so great! All the ex & current, NHS staff, Emergency services and Forces! This is such a beautiful thing to do, whoever came up with the idea, you are great! All you have to do is pay £1 or you can buy as many as you want! I highly recommend going to this cafe if your ever in Cornwall! Not only for this random act of kindness bu also for their delightful doughnuts! I had a jam filled sugar doughnut and it was amazing, they have such a selection, chocolate, cinnamon, cream and so much more!

Another great but exceptionally cold day was the Tuesday of our trip where it rained all day long and we sat in the house looking out at the rain bouncing off the ground outside the house, the mist pulled across the sea in the distance. It was a great cosy day, stayed in our pj's half the day and then went out for a bit for a drive. It was nice to relax properly for a day. I think I've done all there is to do in Cornwall now, this was my second time there and we covered a lot of things but it was great to get away. I would recommend you to go to Cornwall, especially families with small children as there is theme parks, trampoline parks and so much more for small children!
I can't wait for my next adventure wherever that may be.
