WHAT'S NEXT?

So, what's next? Well today I got my results, I didn't pass all my exams but I didn't expect too! I got 5 GCSE's altogether, which I'm delighted with. I didn't get my maths but I have accepted the fact that I will be doing my maths GCSE until I'm 80 years old, I just can't do it.

I have been worrying about these results for months, setting myself up to fail and scared I wouldn't get back into school with the grades I would get. My insomnia became impossible to control, I wasn't getting to sleep until 4am every morning and then I would sleep till 1pm, which was wasting my day!

So the 24th of August arrived, I woke up at 8:55am after not getting to sleep until 4am that morning.. great nights sleep. I got ready while feeling numb, trying not to think about the results but getting on with it, we went to the post office and my mum got out and queued to pick up the dreaded brown envelope. I felt sick at the sight of it, physically sick. I sat in my room for at least 20 minutes before plucking up the courage to open it, When I opened it the first letter I seen was a D, my heart dropped, at a quick glance the B's looked like E's and I froze. I picked the letter up and held it up closer, I then seen the D was for french which I actually expected an E as I hated french. The E's that I had seen were actually B's which I got in English and Art which I was extremely happy about. I breathed a sigh of relief that it was over, I didn't have to worry about it anymore. I face-timed my friend Molly and we occupied each other to just calm ourselves down from the stress as her results hadn't arrived yet. I then told my mum after I had calmed down and it had sunk in, when I told her she handed me a card saying congratulations on passing my exams, she was clearly very confident I would pass.

My interview in my school was at 12pm, I went in and spoke to a few others who received their results and other teachers. I was then called into the interview room and I was accepted back into the school to do my A-Levels! I never thought I would be happy to go back to school but we will see how long that lasts!! I am extremely happy with myself and my results! Hopefully I can sleep better now and be less stressed.

Here goes another 2 years in High School.
