Preparing for Pride was extremely fun, Megan and Rachel came round to my house early Friday morning to get their nails done, we watched Celebrity Big Brother and had some lunch! It was such a chilled day just sitting chatting and hanging out! Later that evening Molly and Chloe came over as they were staying the night for Pride the next morning!

The next morning the alarm went off at 6am and the groans came from all of us as Green Day sang from Molly's phone. We got up and started off the day with the hour long makeup routine, the multi-coloured eyeshadows came out and we made ourselves pride ready! We headed for the bus station and got on the bus at 7:30am along with Megan,Rachel and Erin! The bus journey started off with glittering up everyone and then the bus went round a corner and the glitter went everywhere, I was covered in it!

The bus journey was eventful to say the least, Molly felt travel sick so she slept most of the way up and Chloe and I just showed off our rainbow flag to all the passing traffic, the journey went by faster then expected, laughing about what we were going to do when we got to pride. Planning 'secret missions' for the day and giggling!
We arrived at 10am in Belfast Europa bus station and we started our day of by heading to a store called Fresh Garbage to pick up some things for pride, badges, wrist bands and flags! McDonald's was the next stop in our travels, I started off my very first vlog when we left McDonald's, as we played the street games in Victoria square and went up in the glass lift to the very top to the Dome and took some cute photos!

The view was breath taking, looking over the beautiful Belfast! We also popped into Lush as it is literally the best store ever! With the most amazing staff! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with big smiles, as usual! Everyone in Lush is always so happy, it is so heart-warming! I bought a bar of soap called 'LoveSoap #Gay is ok' which i thought was appropriate because it was Pride! One of the girls who worked there directed me over to the soap and told me that they have nearly raised 15 hundred pounds with the soap which all the proceeds go to different LGBT charities! Also when i was paying, the sweetest guy served me and he was in such a good mood and he told me that Belfast and Newry were the only two Lush stores that had the Gay is okay soap, as Northern Ireland is the only place in the UK without marriage equality which sucks! The soap has a really citrus scent and it is unbelievable, i love it so much!

Another exceptional part of the day was the side street with all the dogs, Erin and Molly were in complete heaven!

Then it was time to head to the parade which kicked off at 1pm at the Albert Clock, the street was covered in rainbows of all colours, everyone was completely different, people running up to each other hugging, couples walking around hand in hand and feeling free to do so in such a loving gathering! We then ran into the lovely Onya Becks, who looked absolutely stunning as she got her photo taken and posed for selfies with all of us!

Then it was time to hit the parade! We walked over to the street filled with thousands of organisations from Police, Ambulance service, Banks, Solicitors and other company's who came out to celebrate and support the LGBT community! We marched with Cara-Friend who are a voluntary counseling, befriending, information, health and social space organisation for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Trans community. They support people who have questions on their sexuality, support for the family and they also go out to educate the public on the LGBT community!

And we set off, we walked round Belfast infront of thousands of people who travelled from a far to watch this parade and support it! There was people of all ages, sexualitys and races all there celebrating, a wonderful day! Little boys and girls dressed in colourful clothing and waving rainbow flags above their heads, as we walked down the street the cheers from the people around us gave me shivers! I'm not apart of the LGBT community myself but I have friends who are and to see how happy they were with all these people there to support them and all the others was magical!

After the parade we rested our feet in Starbucks as we were all in so much pain, chilled as 'white girls' with our frappachinos and smoothies! We decided you can't go to Belfast and not go shopping so off we went to Primark! We wandered around all 4 floors, picking up lots of things on our way! I could spend all my money in that shop if I was given the opportunity, it is amazing!
We sat outside Primark watching the busy city go by before us, a crowd of teenagers staggered across the road, so drunk they could barley stand it was unbelievable to watch, the police were called over to them after a man smashed a beer bottle over one of the girls legs, we decided that meant it was time to leave!
We decided to go to the Body Shop, as I wanted to pick up a few things for my mum because she adores the Satsuma Body Shop products! While we were in there we seen a petition to stop animal testing, so obviously we signed it!

We walked back towards the Bus station after a long eventful day, the sun still shining and the smiles still on all of our faces.. well except for Molly who was dreading the journey home as she didn't want to feel travel sick again! We packed onto the double Decker bus and got comfy, we chatted the whole way home about LGBT rights and how all people should just be okay with it because what's the problem, that's my question what is the problem with being gay? They are just people, people who love the same gender! There isn't anything disgusting or strange about it, The hate the LGBT community face is disgusting, people get beat up for being gay, shouted at, be-befriended or isolated from the world around them because they are too afraid to be themselves! This needs to stop, how would you feel if every time you walked hand in hand with your partner, people stared or shouted abuse at you? I don't think you would like it! This isn't directed at everyone obviously but it is directed at the people who do discrimate people for being who they are, they don't choose to be gay, they are born gay. Simple, you can't change or fix people for being who they are! The world has bigger problems then boys who kiss boys and girls who kiss girls!

It was an exceptional day, I cannot wait till next year to do it all over again! If you would like to see this blog in action i actually started my youtube channel so my first vlog is up, go check it out and subscribe while your there!
